This little piece found it's way into the home of a talented published poet and art collector Claire Vogel Camargo. I am very proud and flattered to reveal that this painting was the inspiration for Claire's poem. It was just published in a newly published poetry book entitled: LIFTING THE SKY: SOUTHWESTERN HAIKU & HAIGA by Dos Gatos Press, Austin, Texas 2013. Her poem is a "haiku" on page 62 and reads:
" spiny arms
saguaros poke the sky
stars spill everywhere "
